Professional areas of specialism: Copyright; refurbishments
Professional areas of interest: Reader development; maximising value for money and flexible use of space; using new technologies to enhance the student experience
Length of time in FE/Sixth Form 23 years and counting!
Project management experience/expertise: Three new builds; numerous refurbishments; five OFSTED inspections

Current professional challenges: Value for money with declining budgets and prioritising workloads with fewer staff; keeping staff upskilled with new technologies
What are the top three issues all librarians need to address in order to provide proactive responsive provision? Know your users; be creative with budgets, time and space; work closely with the curriculum to place yourselves at the centre.
Outside interests: Love reading and baking/cooking – but not GBBO or Masterchef quality yet! Avid box set binger with The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones being particular favourites
